I would send you a photo but I don't know how to send one on blogger. I recognized some of the symbols because my father was a Master Mason (Elgin Lodge, Montreal, Quebec chapter.)
What confused me was that one of the two men buried in the grave was a Catholic priest, a Rev. Patrick Shortall who died in 1809. I thought that the Catholic Church had banned participation in Freemasonry in the early 1700s. Or did the Church back in those days also use the Eye of Providence (which is one of the symbols on the stone.)Valeriehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03292577135815252352noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3312826199921098655.post-14527160320561565692016-10-20T02:30:38.434-04:002016-10-20T02:30:38.434-04:00Freemasonry Northern Ireland is kindness in the ho...Freemasonry Northern Ireland is kindness in the home, honesty in business, courtesy in society, earnest in work, pity and concern for the unfortunateAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09736738223089012773noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3312826199921098655.post-40063582540433261132012-11-26T23:35:29.823-05:002012-11-26T23:35:29.823-05:00Excellent!Excellent!Mysterionhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12649237112389489841noreply@blogger.com
